Danica is experienced in providing high quality legal services to her clients.  Currently, Danica’s practice is exclusively focused on family and child protection law.

Danica was called to the bar in 2013. She has been a member in good standing of the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Law Society of Manitoba and the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society. Danica was pleased to return to Ontario to practice law in 2017 and has been practicing at home ever since.

Before returning to Ontario, Danica lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she was a Restorative Justice Caseworker with Community Justice Society.  Within this role, she facilitated Restorative Justice Sessions between an accused person (the person who harmed), victims (the person who was harmed) and community members.  Danica uses the skills acquired as a Restorative Justice Caseworker throughout her practice.

Prior to founding D.Francis Law Professional Corporation in London, Ontario, Danica carried a thriving family and child protection practice while acting as a Federal Crown Prosecution Agent at a preeminent law firm in Timmins Ontario. Prior to this she was an associate lawyer practicing family and child protection law at the oldest, most well established law firm in Northeastern Ontario in Cochrane and Timmins. Working in Northeastern Ontario has allowed her to work in the costal communities and First Nations Reserves with many members of Indigenous communities in Family, Child Protection and Criminal law and as a result, she has a keen understanding of Aboriginal issues and how they relate to child protection and family law.

Danica is a member of the Middlesex Family Law Association, Middlesex Law Association, Law Society of Ontario and Canadian Bar Association.

In her spare time, she likes to travel, attend the theatre, and likes to go hiking and play sports.  She is an active member in her community.
